Oppo Reno 8 series Launching on 1st June

This week, Oppo announced earlier this week the Reno 8 series which comes equipped with 3 new chipsets. The three phones feature high-refresh rate AMOLED displays with 50MP cameras as well as batteries with a capacity of 4,500mAh that can be charged at 80W. Are any of these the three phones likely to end up being your phone of choice?

Note: Oppo Reno 8 Series is not launching in Pakistan on 1st June, it’s for currently China.

Let’s start with this model, which is the Oppo Reno8 Pro+ as the most impressive of the three. It is equipped with the Dimensity 8100-Max chip, which comes by 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It’s going to be a speedy phone. The Dimensity has the customized MariSilicon X chip that does AI-based processing on images and videos that come from the IMX766 camera with 50 megapixels (1/1.56″).

There’s a reason why the Oppo Reno 8 Professional picked for the Snapdragon 7 Generation 1 model – does Qualcomm’s new mid-range product stand up to MediaTek’s Dimensity line? We’re eager to find out. The phone sports a slightly less 6.62″ AMOLED screen, but it’s still operating at 120Hz. The body of the phone is basically the same dimensions overall, but it’s smaller.

The Oppo Reno 8 isn’t really any more compact either, differing by fractions of a millimeter. It does have the smallest screen here, 6.43”, and it runs at 90Hz. This one is powered by the Dimensity 1300, a refreshed version of the 1200 chipset. The camera setup is similar, though unlike the other two there is no 8MP ultra wide camera or the extra power of MariSilicon.
