iOS 16.1 introduces battery percentage to all iPhones with Face ID

Since the iPhone was introduced with Face ID, it was impossible to show battery percentages within the bar of status because the notch was that took up lots of space. Users had to lower the control center on the iPhone to see what percentage of battery remaining.

In iOS 16, the battery percentage was added as a function and, when activated it would display the percentage right over the battery icon on the Status Bar. The feature was available to all iPhones that have Face ID. I

t was not available on those with Face ID, such as the iPhone the XRiPhone 11iPhone 12 mini along with the iPhone 13 mini.

In the initial Beta version of iOS 16 for developers, several users posted on the MacRumors forum that feature for battery percentages now will let all iPhones equipped with FaceID notches to display an amount over the icon for battery.
