The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE was launched along with the Xiaomi 11T series last week and is basically an Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G with a different chip that is the Snapdragon 778G instead of Snapdragon 780G. It’s unclear whether the seemingly endless chip issue is responsible for this, or just cost-related considerations.
For all intents and purposes, both phones are similar, minus the SoC selection. The eleven Lite 5G NE is being equipped with a new update We’re talking about MIUI 12.5 enhanced.
It’s still running Android 11 as Xiaomi hasn’t yet updated all of its devices to Android 12. However, MIUI 12.5 enhanced is said to be the last icing to the MIUI 12.x generation cake, fixing the bugs, and smoothing everything out by performing a lot of under-the-hood, behind-the-scenes work.
According to Xiaomi’s changelog, the new MIUI 12.5 Enhanced algorithms 12.5 Advanced will be able to dynamically distribute resources to the system to ensure a smooth experience as well as a innovative extremely-fine “atomized” memory management mechanism will help make the use of RAM more efficient. Also “new sensitive storage mechanisms” will make sure that the phone is active as time passes.
The MIUI 12.5 enhanced upgrade for Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is now rolling out to devices in India and has a build number of V184.108.40.206.RKOINXM and Turkey and Turkey, with build number V220.127.116.11.RKOTRXM. Like all rollouts, this one is likely to be phased and may take a few days or even weeks, to get to all devices on these countries. We hope that Xiaomi will be able to ship it to the European version soon.
